Gunners Barracks
With the incredible talents of Diane Khoury, John Emmanuel and Steven Khalil on hand to create Lucy & Ross’s wedding day, well, let’s just say our expectations were high!
And wow, expectations were exceeded! The lawns of Gunners Barracks were transformed into a luxurious aisle of white, surrounded by a sea of green, with the blue of the harbour off into the distance.
Lucy chose the Four Seasons as the setting for her bridal preparation that morning. Steven Khalil personally came to dress her, as well as give styling tips on how to walk in her gown, and the best way to hold bridal flowers (Tip! It’s in line with your belly button, and dont hunch your shoulders up when you get excited)
Ross was the perfect Groom-To-Be, planning a luxurious surprise gift for Lucy, of a Louis Vuitton jewellery trunk.
White was the theme of the day, creating a feeling of elegance and sophistication on every level of the heritage Gunners Barracks surrounds. Diane Khoury and John Emmanuel created a white, flower bordered aisle that felt like it had leapt from the pages of a desination weddings magazine.
Lucy and Ross’s location shoot was in the grounds of Gunners Barracks and featured a candid style of photography, blended with fun bridal party photos. The sun continued to play it’s part, adding a warm glow to many of the shots.
Ross is the proud owner of one of Australia’s largest collections of Lego, so it was only natural that he should want to bring this love, through into his wedding. The famous, “Brickman” from Lego Wars was personally commissioned to create a Lego feature for Lucy and Ross’ Reception.
